Family Walk, Spaghetti Dinner & T.I.P.S. Room

A fun and interactive evening with your gang that will strengthen relationships and improve family health!

Join MREC as we celebration National Family Day with our popular event: the Family Fun Walk and Spaghetti Dinner. Starting point is at Church of the Ascension in Westminster at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 24, with walk check-in beginning at 5:30 p.m.

There is no cost to attend this event but registration is strongly recommended.

After the walk, those who register will enjoy a delicious pasta dinner will catered by Belisimo’s. Following that, The Carroll County States Attorney's Office will have their T.I.P.S. room set up to help parents recognize "threats in plain sight". This mock teenagers' bedroom - filled with hidden signs of drugs - will offer an educational opportunity for Carroll County parents.

While parents are in the T.I.P.S. room, students K-3 through high school (that's right, no students allowed in the T.I.P.S. room!) will be entertained with several fun crafts and activities in the main room.

Ascension Episcopal Church is located at 23. N. Court Street, Westminster, MD 21157. There's plenty of parking behind the church.

ONLINE REGISTRATION HERE for the walk and dinner is required by September 17 in order to have an accurate food count.  IMPORTANT: After registering, please email to let us know how many adults and how many children (with ages) will be attending. Supervised activities will be provided for students K-3 through high school during this program - they'll love it!
